Preparations are underway for the 25th anniversary year of Walk and Knock.

Thousands of volunteers are being mobilized to participate from all around Clark County. The event will take place on Dec. 5 and is the community's largest annual food drive.

"Last year, Inter-service Walk and Knock gathered over 140 tons of food and over $35,000 that was used to purchase food," said Joe Pauletto, the event chair. "This year we are celebrating 25 years of service and we are working to break our record of 155 tons."

Walk and Knock is based solely on volunteer outreach which comes from local church groups, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Campfire, and other service organizations. There are also hundreds of other individuals who answer the call to serve. This year is no different.
